Research Institute for 20th Century Church History

The primary aim of the research institute is to contribute to the scientific foundation of the training provided by the Faculty of Reformed Theology at J. Selye University. To this end, the research institute provides a forum for its members to engage in domestic and international professional cooperation, to develop, coordinate, and mutually support their scientific research and science management work. It promotes the creation, publication, and popularisation of new scientific findings in the field of 20th century church history research, as well as their utilisation in higher education and Hungarian society in Slovakia. The institution’s scientific organisational activities and workshops play a pivotal role in nurturing the next generation of talent at the Faculty of Reformed Theology at J. Selye University. Furthermore, the institute builds strong connections with secondary schools and fosters the development of scientific life in Hungarian-populated areas in Slovakia, while also preserving and enhancing Hungarian Christian identity.
