About the Department
Welcome to the website of the Department of Historical Sciences of the Faculty of Reformed Theology of Selye János University!
The Department of Historical Sciences, besides its contribution to the implementation of the accredited study programmes of the faculty, has been carrying out serious research for many years, mainly on the history of the Hungarian Protestant, especially Reformed Hungarians in Slovakia.
Education
The Department of Historical Sciences provides teaching in the following study programmes in the subjects belonging to it:
Undergraduate studies:
The Department provides the subjects of religious history and church history in the implementation of the study programme of missiology, diaconia, social care.
In the implementation of the Catechetics Teacher Training Programme, the Department provides the subjects of History of Religion and History of the Church.
Master's programme:
The Department of Missiology, Diaconia and Social Care offers courses in the History of Religion and Church History.
In the implementation of the Catechetics Teacher Training Programme, the Department will provide the subjects Religious History and Church History.
Combined bachelor and master programmes:
In the implementation of the programme of study in Reformed Theology, the Department provides subjects in Historical Sciences 1-2-3-4-5-6, which specifically means subjects in the history of dogma, history of religion and history of the Church.
The Doctoral School of the Faculty of Reformed Theology is also linked to the Department of Historical Sciences.
